Being in the village, I found some very interesting stories about families living there. One of them was about a old woman around 80-85 of age living with her fisherman son, daughter in law and two grandchildren.
I met her around 2 pm and talked with her about all her daily chores. Her all daily chores were in the 'aangan' of her house, so she had to be in there the whole day. Talking with her I also came to know about few things about her family's behaviour towards her.
She stays outside whole day in the schorching sun of Mirya but her family doesn't even care about it. Whenever I crossed her house I used to see her sitting outside doing something with all her sarees, separating them in two categories and talking something with herself.
I asked her if she had her lunch or not. In reply she told that it was in the hand of her daughter in law when to give her food so she can't control it. She also went to praise the family a lot. But it all seemed fake.
One day out of curiosity I went to ask her if she didn't have any problem staying outside in the summer and why she don't talk about this with her family. Suddenly she began to cry and told that she knows why is this happening with her. And to my surprise the reason was that in spite of sea god being there clan deity she always worshipped Mahapurush a lot. Always contributed for each and every work related to Mahapurush. And this is the reason why Sea God has been upset with her. And now giving her this punishment.
She told if she had to be free from the punishment she need to make a shrine for him first because he is angry. She also told us that there are a lot of people in the village suffering from different problems like this. And all these are because Sea God is angry.
So if for their happiness and well being we have to build a building then why not to initiate this work soon. This is the main reason I am making this shrine.
